Teacher appreciation week at my daughter's school so I decided since she loves antiques why not craft her up something Shabby! So here it is!
Here is the tutorial of how to make this.
These are the items you will need
I took the door off of an antique wash stand but you could use any piece of wood. I then took and added two screws one on each side(on the back) Then took some wire and wrapped around each nail leaving some wire at the top. Then you take and cut the lace and fabric into 7 inch strips. Then alternate the lace and fabric just tieing it into knots over the wire. Then you take scrabble tiles or you can purchase letter tiles from your local craft store. Then personalize with E-6000 glue. Add some lace and other details. I added a skeleton key and crystal door knob. Then you are all set!
Hope you enjoy this fun way to make shabby goodness!

I love this! I found you through Olivia. Good luck with being a new blogger. It is so much fun! I am going to follow you and so I look forward to more posting from you:) Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteA definitely lovely door hanger! The choice of materials is what made this particular door hanger special and apart from the rest we usually see, which is a truly nice treat. Although, I would've loved it better had you shared that step-by-step process to making this gorgeous piece. But still, great job you did here!
